What's in the Survey Report?
We pride ourselves on our knowledge of the subject of Timber Treatments and Damp Proofing and your Survey Report will detail every aspect of the timber or damp-related problems found in your property.
The Survey Report contains:
An overall summary of the problems identified
Details on each individual timber or damp problem
Details of recommended remedial work required
An estimate of costs and timescales
Why is the Survey Report so important?
The Property Care Association (PCA) was set up to assure home-buyers and landlords that any tradesmen they employ has the necessary skills to carry out any timber, damp and flooding remedial work to owners' properties. Every contractor, consultant or independent surveyor registered with PCA has their credentials and skills checked, and undergoes further training to ensure that the service they deliver, as well as the products they use, are of the highest standard.
Because the PCA is now an established and trusted trade association, major mortgage lenders will generally only accept a pre-purchase Timber and Damp Survey Report from a PCA-Registered surveyor.
The survey report we deliver not only meets the mimimum standards required, but we pride ourselves on being very thorough and having a survey done by Thanet Timber and Damp Ltd will give you the peace of mind you need to ensure that any timber or damp-related remedial work is identified, addressed and resolved, before you complete your purchase, or make any substantial investment in decoration of the property, which may later have to be reversed in order to address problems which may not have been identified by a less-qualified person!
